What are the common problems with SCS certification?
1. How to declare the percentage of recycled ingredients?
The standard requires customers to certify historical products produced at the factory and to declare the minimum proportion of recycled ingredients in the product.
The customer can also declare the corresponding proportion of products according to the requirements of the purchaser.
The factory shall have a production record of the product to be certified.
2. Who is involved in the SCS audit?
Generally include: factory responsible person, production manager, purchasing representative, production process control personnel, warehouse, sales and other departments.
A lot of important information is usually collected from the factory owner and the purchasing department representative; the required information includes: recycling raw material suppliers and procurement, storage, consumption, production, source description and production process description.
3. How long is the SCS certification period generally?
Please refer to the SCS certification flow chart, we will try our best to speed up the certification; Usually, the certification will be able to get the certificate one month after the auditor completes the evaluation work, provided that the rectification is completed and the discovered non-conformities are closed.
4. How to keep customer data confidential?
SCS agencies and auditors have promised in the PSA Agreement that no confidential information will be disclosed to any third party outside SCS, regardless of the supplier's name, product description design or manufacturing process.
Finally, after passing the SCS certification, SCS will issue a certificate to the customer to prove that the customer meets the requirements of the SCS Recycling Standards Version 7, and the factory address, product and corresponding percentage of recycled components will also be reflected in the certificate.
