RCS-Recycled Claimed Standard, is another recycling (recycling) standard introduced by the TE Textile Trading Organization in 2013. It is used to provide certification basis for products using recycled raw materials.
The RCS certification applies to products with a recycled raw material content between 5% and 100%.
The purpose of RCS certification is to ensure that the product contains recycled materials. Consumers believe that the purchased products contain recycled materials, because the products selected from recycled materials are RCS certified to help increase the use of recycled materials and reduce waste. The standard used by RCS is the regulatory requirements for (CCS).
Advantages of the CSS standard:
CCS is a common standard in the supply chain. This standard helps to achieve consistency and efficiency in the certification process. Once a company has been certified to meet CCS standards, all other requirements in the supply chain are based on CCS, reducing repeating certification.
