RWS certification is a relatively new standard certification from sheep pasture, wool processing, spinning, weaving, printing and dyeing, and garment processing.
The farm is a special part that can be RWS certified alone or as part of a farm group.
There are seven steps in the RWS certification process (refer to the process of individual farm RWS certification):
Step 1: You need to contact a certified organization with a business license.
Step 2: Fill in the certification body's application form and farm information.
Upon receipt of the application, the certification body will determine if your farm meets the criteria and prepare a structured quote containing its fees.
Step 4: After the quotation is received, you will be required to sign a contract with the certification body. The contract is valid for three years and needs to be renewed after the expiration.
Step 5: Before auditing, make sure that you are clear about all the requirements, so all the necessary documents are prepared according to the standards.

Step 6: The certification body will send an auditor to your farm to observe the operation of the farm, interview the workers, and check some records related to the standard requirements. The first audit will be a pre-arranged public audit.
Step 7: The audit result will be sent to the certification authority's office; another person will review them and make a final certification decision. If a non-conformance is found, you will be given a period of time to correct the non-conformance and will submit proof of correction or additional certification fee for the certification body.
The RWS certification process usually takes 2-3 months.
